The Faculty of Law Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University hosted an international conference on “Legislative and Practical Challenges of Georgian Labor Law” on March 4-5 in Gudauri, at the hotel “Gudauri Marco Polo”.
The idea of holding this conference belongs to managing partner of “J & T Consulting”, Associate Professor of TSU Faculty of Law _ Giorgi Tsertsvadze. Mr. Giorgi was actively involved in each stage of organizing this conference. Owing to huge effort of Giorgi Tsertsvadze this idea was shared, by the largest employers of our country.
Supporters of the conference were: International Labour Organization (ILO), Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Georgian Post, TBC Bank, ProCredit Bank and Romepetrol Georgia.
The main goal of the conference was to create neutral academic platform for discussion on modern problems of Georgian Labor Law and to promote active dialogue. In regard to mentioned goal, among the participants were representatives from The Parliament of Georgia; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs; Public Defender Office; Judges, Rector of Tbilisi State University, Professors, Lawyers. Representatives from International Labour Organization (ILO), Friedrich Ebert Foundation and US Embassy. Georgian Trade Union Confederation, Georgian Employers’ Association and the largest employers of our country.

This conference is a part of the series of International Conferences, which are organized by TSU Faculty of Law. First Conference of this series was an international conference on
“Competition – New Challenge for Georgia”. Our company has been actively involved in organizing this conference too and we will continue actively participation in organizing projects like this, which are aimed to create sound legal environment and find effective solutions of exiting problems, thru multilateral dialogue and neutral academic platform.
We also continue working actively in this field, to create effective and interesting design of dispute resolution system, for the disputes exiting in Labor Law.
