The working meeting on the future mediation law issues

On March 13, 2016 the working meetin was held on the future mediaton law issues. The meeting was organized b Georgian associations of mediators with assistance from the European Union, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the UN Joint Programme “Enhancing Access to Justice and Development of a Child-Friendly Justice System in Georgia”. 

Vakhtang Tordia, member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia, Peter Danis, programme manager of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia and Giorgi Ckheidze, head of the USAID-ProLoG, addressed the participants. The speakers of the meeting were Lasha Kalandadze, chairman of Court Mediators' Association, Alexandre Tsuladze, representative of the High Council of Justice of Georgia and Giorgi Tsertsvadze, chairman of Georgian Association of Mediator and the managing partner of J&T Consulting.

The speakers' speeches were focused on the main issues and challenges of the mediation legislation in Georgian reality in the context of stengthen and development of mediation as an alternative dispute resolution. During the second part of the meeting it was a discussion and paticipants had an opportunity to ask questions or to suggest some initiatives.
